Well, while everybody think that tea is good for you,if without milk
Tea can help prevent cancer and the catechins in the tea will protect you against heart disease
The recent study released this month said that the milk cancel out the benefit of the tea

However, if you add milk into the tea, the protein, caseins in the milk will cancel the catechins in the tea.

Sad….that means now I have to drink English Breakfast tea without milk…how can I eliminate this habit…
they said that real tea drinkers do not add milk…
and the British don’t really add milk into the tea…
Hm..I remembered that adding milk into the tea is what I learned when I lived in UK.

I came by this in passing and, as a Brit, want you to know that now (as probably when you were in the UK), tea with milk is the ‘default’. In most cafes, if you don’t specifically ask for it to be black, you’ll get tea with milk.

I didn’t know that was a default, thanks for letting me know.
I think I now have a habit adding milk into the tea after Iliving in Britain.
Not until recently my Canadians friends asked me why I add milk instead of cream which they do here, I just realised there are different “culture” or habit of drinking tea between Canadians and British.
