So last weeknd was the long weekend
I was invited to a dinner from one of my friends
I found that not only Taiwanese people would like to serve the following dish
My friend from China always like to serve this dish as well
What dish?
Tea egg
My friend made it as a starter or a salad dish as pics showed above
Tea egg is kind of a snack for Chinese/Taiwanese or Hong Kong people
You may see why I would write Tea egg as today’s entry
coz obviously
it relates to tea

The eggs are boiled into this tea liquid
The tea that used usually black tea
or Pu-erh tea
or tea that have high in dar-brown tannins
It not only gives the taste but the color of it
green tea will be too bitter for it
It is salty
and
soy sauce or Chinese five-spice power are added into it for flavour
Yummy!
