Osmanthus fragrans Ti Kuan Yin Tea

Osmanthus fragrans (sweet olive) is a flower and

there are four types of Osmanthus fragrans

it is a a type of Scented Tea or Chinese Flower tea

Scented Tea or Flower tea means  dried flowers are used to make tea,
green tea and black tea can be the base and mix with scent of flowers

Health Benefits of sweet olive:

- Good for Spleen, and quite nutritious
- Mild the condition of gastroptosia and gastric ulcer

This tea is actually from my parents
My mother said the tea leaves are not actually that good
so she didn’t think the tea will taste good
however
I made a cup of tea today and the sweet olive flowers greeted me with a wonderful aroma
smell good and strong flavor of the flower
i love sweet olive!!

probably I am still a beginner and couldn’t distinguish differences between good tea leaves vs. bad tea leaves
but the flavor of the flowers win my heart

A video about scented tea, check it out

Have you smiled/laughed today?!

8 02 2008

I can be happy very easily and very easy to be satisfied
Especially with a cup of It doesn’t need to be a high class, expensive type of tea at all
The highest class of tea I ever had was Ma Liu Mei/Monkey Picked

The reason is called monkey picked, because the tea tree is grew between rocks and you need to climb up and get it like a monkey, therefore, it is called Monkey Picked. It is a type of Oolong tea.

However, after my first mid term today
I just realised I didn’t smile or laugh at all for the last 24 hours

As I found how many benefits that tea would give to our bodies
there is something natural,
without any (un)known chemicals as ingredients,
something that is free would benefit our bodies as well…

You know how smile or laughing is good to us?

Physiologically
- laughter promotes healing, by lowering the blood pressure, and by increasing the vascular blood flow + oxygentaion of the blood

Physical fitness
- laughing 100 times = 10 mins workout on a rowing machine
- laughing 100 times = 15 mins on stationary exe. bike
- Laughing exrcises the diaphragm, abdominal, respiratiory, facial, leg and back muscles
So here is a video would sure make you laugh about, check it out!

Just watch the whole video even though it is in Japanese, but I am sure you will get what there are trying to do in the video

But just in case, it is about the dog and the monkey are in a competition to see how many times of sit up they can do in 30 seconds comparing with the kindergarden kids. It is hilarious about the monkey and the dog

More “scientific” reasons of why we should laugh or how laughters do us god. http://stress.about.com/od/stresshealth/a/laughter.htm

So I decided to make a cup of tea for myself, to relax.

The tea part is a spa for the soul.  You leave your cares and work behind.  Busy people forget their business.  Your stress melts away, your senses awaken…” ~ Alexandra Stoddard
