19 03 2008

Tea for Autumn is – “semi-fermented” tea which another name is  ”qingcha”/ Oolong tea

Qingcha is differ from green tea which is unfermented tea

There are different types of oolong tea

for example: Ti Kuan Yin, Narcissus

Oolong tea is my favorite tea

A type of tea I will drink after dinner or go for “Yum Cha” (Chinese restaurant for dim sum)

Oolong tea is in between Green and Black tea
It is called QingCha because it has the flowery and fresh taste like the green tea and the flavour of black tea
It moisturizes the skin, the throat, remove internal heat-7.gif image by hellokamkitty

Tea for different season:

Something that I read online, different tea leaves and tea are produced at a different time of the year.
Tea is thought to be good for the body, for example, some may good for curing a cold, allergy or pain…etcetc.

The tea for Spring is:  Herbal Tea (Jasmine and lemongrass, peppermint)
It is believed that to remove the “cold symptom”and the feeling of tiredness inside the body; the person may feel refreshed again after taking the herbal tea.

* The “cold/yin” here is referring the body type,
People with cold symptom means not that their body temp. is low, but may have lower pulse rate, slow movement, lower metabolism.
